Abdel 27 years old arrived in France in 2018. He left Liban his hometown in Eritrea in 2017 to join Europe. He passed through Ethiopia, Sudan, Libya where he spent 18 months and then Italy crossing the Mediterranean Sea on a makeshift boat. His wife remained in Eritrea, he would like to bring her to France when he has his papers. In Eritrea, he spent 8 months in the prison of Kormona before he managed to escape. In Paris for 2 years, his asylum application has been accepted by the OFPRA (French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons), he is now waiting for his residence permit. He receives 210€ per month from the ADA (allowance for asylum seekers). Abdel takes French lessons twice a week, and lives in Aubervilliers with other Eritreans, he would like to be a painter in the building industry.

Il est passé par l’Éthiopie, le Soudan, la Libye ou il a passé 18 mois et puis L’Italie en traversant la mer Méditerranée sur une embarcation de fortune. Sa femme est restée en Érythrée, il souhaiterais la faire venir en France lorsqu’il aura ses papiers. En Érythrée, il a été 8 mois dans la prison de Kormona avant de parvenir à s’enfuir.
